Writing

When mothers write, we do more than tell our stories. We reclaim power, reshape culture, and remember who we are. Writing offers a space to process experience, integrate meaning, and be heard in a world that often overlooks maternal insight. It becomes a tool for healing, a home for our voice, and a way to preserve what matters most. Whether you're writing to make sense of your path, to share your wisdom, or to create something lasting, writing is not a luxury. It is a revelatory and creative act of becoming. And it is never too late to begin.

I wrote my first published essay in grade school, and I’ve been writing ever since—blending memory, scholarship, creativity, and lived experience into language that invites understanding and transformation. As a writer and guide, I support others in developing work that is authentic, resonant, and courageous.

My expertise lies in Life Writing, a genre that centers lived experience as a site of knowledge, reflection, and narrative power. Life Writing includes memoir, autobiography, biography, reflective essays, and other forms that draw meaning from the raw material of real life. It is where the personal becomes collective, and where deep insight is born through honest attention.

I also specialize in Scholarly Personal Narrative, Arts-Based Inquiry, and A/r/tography, a creative research methodology that integrates the identities of artist, researcher, and teacher through embodied, image-rich, process-oriented writing. A/r/tographic practice welcomes complexity and emergence. It lives in the margins between disciplines and invites insight through the act of making.

Whether you're working on a manuscript, a hybrid project, a series of essays, or a private journal, I offer reflective support and generative tools to help you move from idea to articulation and from hesitation to voice.

My writing programs are designed to meet you wherever you are. Whether you're beginning with a feeling or shaping a body of work, I guide women through projects that matter deeply to them. I believe in writing that is alive—writing that honors your story, deepens your impact, and calls your audience into connection.

In mid-August 2025, I’ll be offering a bonus virtual day retreat exclusively for annual subscribers and founding members of my newly restructured Substack, launching in late June. There, I’ll share essays, prompts, creative practices, and reflections on the craft and calling of writing across the motherlines.

In Fall 2025, I’ll also be launching a private writing community. It will be a sacred space for thoughtful, soulful women working on meaningful written work. Whether you’re writing to heal, to publish, to process, or to make sense of the path you’ve walked, this is a place to be witnessed, supported, and inspired.

Let’s write something that matters, together.
